Note: To solve the obsolescence situation and to avoid any impact on the installed battery chargers a new battery charger is proposed as solution. The new battery charger proposed will be an FFF (form, fit and function) alternative to the current equipment, so that the replacement in the
train will have the least possible impact (plug & play).
It will have:
Same mechanical train interface of the current battery charger.
Same electrical train interface of the current battery charger.
Same functions, and, as far as possible, the communications interface will be maintained.
